Bangladesh Insulator and Sanitaryware Factory Limited (BISFL) is a state-owned industrial enterprise under the control of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) under the Ministry of Industry, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. It is the only government institute in the country manufacturing insulators and sanitary ware. It is located on Mirpur Zoo Road under Shah Ali Police Station under Dhaka North City Corporation covering an area of 30.37 acres. Here in 1981 4000 May. Sanitary ware plant with production capacity of tons and 2400 May. Production of Insulator Plant with ton capacity started. Later, due to the introduction of light weight product production in the light of the market demand, despite the number based production increasing slightly, the ton based production was 3400 May respectively. Tons and 1400 May. Tons are determined. 1100 May in the financial year 1986-1987. Glazed tiles plant of ton production capacity is added. Later in 1991-1992 the production of various types of refractories bricks started. Since 2001, tile production has been completely stopped. BISF company details below :

Aims and Objectives :
1). Production of ceramic products through the use of domestic raw materials and meeting demand as well as earning foreign currency.
2). Reducing import dependency by producing and supplying the highest quality insulators in support of the 100% Electrification Project of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
3). To stabilize the market price by producing and selling the maximum possible quantity of insulators and sanitary ware products annually as per the target level set by the government.
4). Giving utmost importance to social and public welfare rather than factory profit in the sale and distribution of manufactured goods.
5). To play an appropriate role and contribute to the industrialization of the country by developing skilled manpower in the country.
